Andrew Wagner

Right now, most of my energy goes into Odo, the AI email assistant I'm building with my cofounder. After years as an engineer, I'm learning everything that comes with starting a company.

The way I build has changed as much as what I build. I lean on AI heavily in my day-to-day (Claude Code is my current tool of choice), and a lot of what I write about now is what actually works, and what doesn't, when you build software this way.

I came up as an iOS and Swift developer, and that hasn't gone anywhere. At Odo we're working on an iOS app, so Swift is still very much part of my daily life. But now it's one thread instead of the whole story.

Beyond the tech, I pride myself on having strong opinions. I also love having my mind changed. That's the fastest way for me to grow, which is my underlying greatest passion of all.

Learning Swift book cover

A publisher approached me to write a book to help new developers learn Swift. It was among the most difficult things I've ever done, but also gave me a huge sense of accomplishment.
